Photo Studio Rental Rates Amsterdam
Studio Ferdinand has two rental categories. All prices are excluding VAT. Below you will find a complete overview of our rates, opening hours, and conditions.
Rates
Commercial — €375.00 per day (excl. VAT)
4 HOURS — €295.00 (excl. VAT)
Applies when you rent the studio for commercial purposes, such as e-commerce, advertising, modelling agencies, webshops, commercial social media channels, or as a commercial photographer.
Editorial / Personal Work — €275.00 per day (excl. VAT)
4 HOURS — €195.00 (excl. VAT)
Applies when you rent the studio on behalf of a magazine, newspaper, or cultural institution — or to document personal work without a commercial brand or webshop. For example as a sculptor, painter, or independent photographer.
Student — €275.00 per day (excl. VAT)
Students fall under the editorial rate. We recommend that students rent the studio together for a full day, provided one main responsible person is present for the entire day.
Background Rolls — €20.00 per color (excl. VAT)
The use of a background roll costs €20 per color excluding VAT. The rolls are 2.75 meters wide. We have more than 30 colors available — ask about the options when booking.
Cleaning Costs
If you leave the studio as you found it, no cleaning costs will be charged. If you prefer us to handle the cleaning, the cost is €35 per hour excluding VAT. Depending on the condition of the studio, additional hours may be charged.
Outside Opening Hours — €35.00 per hour (excl. VAT)
If your production takes place outside our standard opening hours, this is possible for an additional fee of €35 per hour excluding VAT. Please inform us in advance so we can schedule this.
Condition: crediting Studio Ferdinand
For all bookings — with the exception of commercial bookings — we ask that you credit Studio Ferdinand. This can be done via a tag on social media (#studioferdinand) or a link to studioferdinand.nl. This helps keep the studio visible to other creatives.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I rent the studio for half a day?
Yes, Studio Ferdinand now also rents the studio in 4-hour slots. This applies to all rate categories.
Are the prices including VAT?
No, all listed prices are excluding VAT.
Do I need to pay in advance?
For new clients we ask for payment in advance. If you have worked with us before, we will send an invoice afterwards.
Which rate applies to me?
Are you renting the studio for a webshop, brand, advertising, or commercial social media channel? Then the commercial rate of €375 per day applies. Are you working for a magazine, cultural institution, or on personal work without a commercial purpose? Then you fall under the editorial rate of €275 per day. Not sure? What if I use more than one background color?
Each background color used will be charged separately at €20 excluding VAT. If you use two colors, the total will be €40 excluding VAT.
Do I need to clean the studio after use?
Yes, we ask that you leave the studio as you found it. If not, cleaning costs will be charged at €35 per hour excluding VAT.
How do I book the studio?
Bookings are made via email. Go to our contact page and send us a message with the desired date and the type of production. We respond within 24 hours.
